Those who promote the idea that having money is wrong often quote the Bible as saying, “Money is the root of all evil.”
The only problem with this is… that's not what it says.
The actual passage being quoted (1 Timothy [6:10]) says, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.”
The love of money – not money itself.
The way to stay out of the money-love trap is to make sure you don't put money before God.
As Joseph Prince puts it, “Don't love money and use people; use money to love people.”
