Welcome back for another episode of the Daily Ray, today I am going to recap my experience at Social Media Marketing World this last week. I will highlight my most important takeaways from the event so that if you were there or not, you’ll still learn something from it because that’s what I’m here for… to teach YOU.
•The thing you do before the thing. When you go to big events like Social Media Marketing World it’s always great to make a plan, but I want you to take that plan and throw it away because I guarantee you it’s not nearly as detailed as it needs to be.
•The most important goodie you’ll take home from each of these events… unless you hide in the corner the whole time.
•Why you should avoid being a cookie-cutter cookie at a live event. When you’re a speaker at an event like this most likely unless you’re going first, the audience has already heard it all before. They want you to now make them feel something they didn’t feel in the last session they attended. They will remember you if you give them a reason to remember.
•Why rest is STILL important during live events for any and all ages. Naps are great! Maybe you need a day or two of naps to recover and that’s totally okay, and probably for the best regarding your health
